Extreme Poses Art Class – Student Gallery

A series of straps and ropes are suspended from this ceiling from anchor points in order to form a matrix in space. The model uses the positioning of the straps to find a safe place to create a pose from. Dramatic weight and body shifts occur as the model uses the minimum of support to create the pose. Perspective changes and foreshortening appears as the body is put under tension. All this has to be dealt with by students and artist alike as the suspended figure demands high levels of concentration and respect. This contribution raises the bar to create awesome results.

Each pose is about 30 minutes long.
